WHAT IS MINI WE DAY REGINA PUBLIC?
Mini We Day Regina Public will introduce your grade 7/8 to the Me To We Philosophy inspired by Free the Children, an international organization founded by Canadian Craig Kielburger when he was 12 years old! Free the Children aims to empower youth around the world to achieve their fullest potential as agents of change. At Mini We Day Regina, we hope to inspire the next generation of world-changers to realize the potential we each have, through our actions and decisions, to make our school, local and global communities a better place, not only for ourselves, but for the seven billion other humans that we share our planet with.

Our Mini We Day Regina will provide more information on Free the Children and Me to We in a fun, interactive setting, and will also feature musical guests, and inspirational videos.

WHO IS THE CAMPBELL ME TO WE TEAM?
The Campbell Collegiate Me to We Team is a group of over one hundred students that are passionate about changing the world. The team works in conjunction with Free the Children, an international charity that aims to empower youth around the world to achieve their fullest potentials as agents of change. Through the We Act program, the Campbell Me to We Team chooses at least one global initiative and one local initiative each school year to work towards.

As a local initiative last year, we supported Campbell’s annual Adopt-a-Family fundraiser, supporting over three hundred deserving families with Christmas gifts and Christmas dinners to brighten their holiday seasons. In March, we kicked off our second global initiative, in support of Free the Children’s Clean Water and Sanitation Pillar in Rural China. The campaign was incredibly successful, and we raised over $12 000 to finance the construction of two clean water systems in Rural China. These systems will provide easy access to clean, safe water, allowing girls to go to school and preventing the spread of water-borne illnesses.

WHY ATTEND MINI WE DAY REGINA?
If your elementary school has already collaborated with the Campbell Me to We Team, this is an incredible opportunity to get senior students interested in leadership roles within the Me to We Team & SRC at your school, and for students to learn more about the three Adopt-a-Village pillars that we will be voting between for our global initiative in the spring.
